Frequently Asked Questions

What gear am I required to wear by law when riding?

By law, you must wear a helmet compliant with Australian standards (AS: 1698) and enclosed shoes (thongs and strapless sandals aren't legal). Those helmets that have the genuine standards sticker. Bu that doesn't mean you should just wear a helmet as your only protective gear. Make sure you wear all your protective gear when riding.

Is a closed-face helmet better than an open-face helmet?

A closed-face helmet offers protection from debris and weather. It also offers chin protection for impacts. Make sure you get a helmet that fits right. But helmets that meet the AS1698 standards will offer a similar level of protection.
